A Super film. Super 8 is about a group of kids who witness a horrific train crash and the creature unleashed from it. Super 8 is an amazingly done film with a real thriller/horror element to it. Everything about it was great...except for one thing. If anyone has seen a thriller/horror film that's come out in say the last 70 years or a few of Spielberg's films will see that Super 8 reads like a checklist out of The Thriller Handbook which annoyed me. If it wasn't for that, it would be one of the best films of the year. Ages 14+

J.J. Abrams is a genius

This movie is fantastic. Thrilling all the way through with even a bit of a horror theme. The alien scared me every time he appeared out of nowhere, an when the teens went down is his cave with unconscious people hanging from the cieling, I was covered in goosebumps. The scary parts and frequent language aren't really suitable for kids. Ages 12+

Mint!!!!!!

I watched this movie just recently and i fell in love with it instantly. I literaly take my dvd everywhere and never let anybody touch it, yeah its that good...I thought that the special effects were phenominal and that the casting was great. The actors really got into the 70s. There were swear words and drug use, but that just made the movie seem more realistic. I was absolutely blown away by this movie and i recomend it to anyone who enjoys a good science-fiction movie...

I will never see movies the same way again!

How could I describe this movie in one word. AWESOME!!!!!!! The movie had great special effects. It was so awesome I could watch it over and over and over again. Even if it did had cussing it was still awesome. It freaks you out at first but you start getting the hang of it. Just be careful not to watch it by yourself or in the dark.

AMAZING!=)

WOW! Super 8 is a truly AMAZING movie! It has extremely great special effects, has characters that are really funny, and has a great plot! But, the only problems were, you don't really get the plot at first, the kids cuss alot, and it's kind of freaky. I would really recommend this movie. =)
