Pooh’s Heffalump Movie feels very short. In the movie, Roo befriends a creature that everyone in the Hundred Acre Wood is afraid of. It is a little hilarious and is a good family movie to see. There are some dull parts and the film is too short to feel like it is worth your time. For ages 2 and up.

PARENT REVIEW: Surprisingly Funny

Pooh’s Heffalump Movie is surprisingly funny for all ages. The message about prejudice is extremely timely and is a great tool for talking to your children about foreign cultures. In the film, the residents of the Hundred Acre Wood go hunting the Heffalump, a creature that everyone “knows” is dangerous even though no one has even seen a Heffalump. Roo captures a child Heffalump and learns that he is not dangerous and whatsmore, the Heffalump culture is just as frightened of the Hundred Acre Wood clan. Since we live in a time where we fear an enemy who lives, dresses, and worships in a culture we don’t understand, maybe some grown-ups will think a little bit, too.
