Bolt

I liked Bolt! My favorite character is Mittens the alley cat because she's a girl and she's funny. The funniest, though, is Rhino the Hamster because he's crazy and he thinks Bolt's superpowers are real. For kids 3 and up.

Bolt

This movie was pretty good. I loved the hamster. (reminded of my hamster) I also really liked that at the end, they had this little cute pictures. It was sad that they made penny move on from Bolt and he didn't stay to hear penny say that she missed the real bolt. I didn't love the plot, but it's still really good. Overall, I think people should go see the movie.

It was great.

It was a boy movie and it was a girl movie. The dog gets lost. He found the girl and then the firemen took her to the hospital. It was great.

Original and funny

Finally, a fresh story. Bolt feels very original and very funny across the board with a lot of in-depth Hollywood humor. If the film does well it, it will be because of Miley Cyrus lending her voice; sorry to tell you she has a lesser role and Bolt is more about the dog. They use the idea of The Truman Show (the star of the show thinks it's all real) which is an idea that isn't used that often.

PARENT REVIEW: Less Message is More

"Bolt is awesome!" is Rhino the Hamster's mantra and it's hard not to agree. Bolt is a film that keeps parents laughing just as hard as the kids while still telling a story kids can enjoy.

Bolt has grown up believing he is a superdog but his life is actually a TV show complete with special effects. When a mishap sends him to the other side of the country, he uses what he knows about heroics to get home to rescue his "person," Penny (Miley Cyrus).

It seems to be less of a message movie although Bolt manages to make the audience aware of cat prejudice and that some owners abandon their pets when they move. Even more interestly, another message is that a movie/tv studio is no place for a kid to grow up; that's a genuine truth although odd coming from both kid-star maker Disney and the kid-of-the-moment Cyrus. Overall, Bolt is a buddy film that feels like Homeward Bound meets The Truman Show. Bolt is just a lot of fun that everyone in the family will enjoy. (Seriously. In our showing, three 20-something guys attended and laughed harder than anyone!)
