Cole the Kid Critic started KidsPickFlicks when he was 9. Today, he turns 16! He’s seen a lot of movies since 2004 and since we’re now in the slow part of the year when it comes to new movies, Cole recommends films to rent. Happy Birthday, Cole!
Tron. With Tron:Legacy about to come out, there will be a demand for people wanting to see the original. Watch it before the mad dash in December.
Forbidden Planet. A classic sci-fi movie that gave birth to the famous Robbie the Robot. It’s a great thriller that isn’t the complete cheesefest that littered the ‘50s.
The Fox and the Hound. Among the treasure trove of Disney animated classics, The Fox and the Hound is one of the least
known. Stemming from the years in which Disney was having a hard time connecting with audiences, The Fox and the Hound is often overlooked but still an endearing tale of growing up and friendship. Hey, Tim Burton worked as an animator on this film before he became a director!
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. A lesser known work of Spirited Away/Ponyo director Hayao Miyazaki, Valley of the Wind is a post-apocalyptic tale of humanity being slowly killed by a poisonous forest. The animation may be a little dated, but the message is not.
Stick It. Probably among my favorite sports movies of all time, Stick It comes from the people behind Bring it On. This is one of the most surprisinglylikable films I’ve reviewed during my entire time as a film critic.

“10 Things I Hate About You” star Meaghan Jette Martin returns with Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers for Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. Meaghan shares her movie PICK exclusively with KidsPickFlicks:
“Finding Nemo. I’m obsessed with Finding Nemo! I can quote almost the entire movie!”
Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam premieres this Friday, Sept. 3, at 8/7c on Disney Channel.
Meaghan is currently filming “Mean Girls 2,” taking over the lead role of Jo from Lindsay Lohan.
Paloma Rates VAMPIRES SUCK an ICK!
This movie is NOT for younger kids. It has some parts that REALLY made me want to cover my eyes too. It has A LOT of violence and some REALLY inappropriate parts that made me cover my mouth which is sad because I know A LOT of people at my school want to see it. Besides the bad parts, it has some really funny parts and I think, if you can handle everything I've mentioned, then you could end up liking it. I agree with the rating: ages 13 & up!
