Kids should be scratching with excitement, Puss in Boots is purrrrfect. Puss in Boots is about an outlaw cat who tries to do good but teams up with two other fairytale creatures to steal golden eggs. The only thing from the Shrek series is Puss' big pouting eyes, the rest is a brand new story. Puss in Boots is a good movie because it's funny, but the lesson is that you shouldn't steal or you'll get caught one way or another. The 3D was great! Everyone should watch it in 3D, like they have all these pigs coming at you. Go see Puss in Boots -- what else are you going to do, lick your paws? Ages 4 and up.

Pathetic Previews but Fantastic Film

This movie was very cute. And good for all ages. My one problem? The previews were not good at all. They didn't tell you a thing about the movie. So basically I walked into a theater, drink a strawberry slushee, not knowing what the heck the movie I was about to see was about! Here's what I knew about the movie after seeing the trailers, It's about Puss in Boots, before he was a charecter in Shrek, there's a girl black cat in it, and somehow, there's some egg dude! Really, it needed more information. And it was a god movie, why hide that in the previews?!?

Kitties galore!

This movie it funny! Sadly I didn't see it in 3D, but I'm sure that would havew been amazing! My friends and I saw it a while ago and even now we can't stop saying or doing lines from the movie! The egg was kind of werid and freaky. It has a good message, great action, and awesome dance moves! I loved that we got the back story for boots! It's great for families too! My mom loves cats and loved the movie! Me and my friends' favorite part is when the cat says "OHHHHHHHHH" THIS IS A GREAT MOVIE!!!!

Best Use of 3D in a Kids Movie

PUSS IN BOOTS is a fun movie for the whole family that stays true to the SHREK series in one regard: it slips in those jokes for the adults that the kids (hopefully!) don't get. Whether its PUSS' claiming that the catnip is for his glaucoma or sexy double entendres, that kind of humor in a kids movie still made me uncomfortable. It's clear that Puss is "a lover" and the opening scene has him tiptoeing out of a rendezvous with a feline -- again, though, a kid would probably need to have the understanding of what that implies to fully get the scene.

Many children will relate to Puss' life curse: in trying to do the "right" thing, his actions get misunderstood and it looks like he's doing the wrong thing. Therefore, Puss is a sort of Outlaw of Justice. Another PROBABLY inconsequential scene that I wish wasn't in the film is that bad guy Jack randomly shoots an innocent person which is designed to get a laugh from the audience.

Definitely spend the extra money on 3D. Kids will delight in the excellent use of 3D in PUSS IN BOOTS. Not only will flying birds startle the audience and the swordfighting feels oh-so-close, but the 3D gives PUSS IN BOOTS a texture I've never before experienced in a film. For ages 4 and up.
