Will Ferrell, Liam Neeson & other Awesome Actors Build Perfect Cast for LEGO Movie

Will Ferrell, Liam NeesonUPDATE: Lego sure knows how to build something perfectly, piece by piece. The casting for their animated film Lego: The Piece of Resistance is superawesome with Will Ferrell is President Business Will Ferrell, Liam Neesonand Liam Neeson will voice his henchman Bad Cop. Chris Pratt voices Emmett, who is mistaken for a Master Builder and must stop evil forces from gluing everything together. "Parks and Recreation" mustachioed star Nick Offerman is a pirate set on revenge against President Business and Allison Brie ("Community") voices Emmett's friend with a secret. 

altAug. 29, 2012 - So, you know how so many movies are about when some kid learns that HE is the Chosen One and it's his destiny to save the town/country/world/universe? Well, what if a kid is mistakenly identified as The Chosen One - what would happen THEN? The Lego movie will explore that idea with "Parks and Recreation" actor Chris Pratt in the lead. The story follows Emmett (Pratt) who follows whats erroneously been identified as his destiny to stop a villain and teams up with old mystic Vitruvius (voiced by Dolphin Tale's Morgan Freeman) and tough cookie Lucy alt(Elizabeth Banks from The Hunger Games). Will Arnett ("Up All Night," Blades of Glory) will voice Lego Batman. 

No title has officially been assigned yet but the working title is Lego: The Piece of Resistance. 

Nov. 14, 2011: The Lego movie is moving forward ever so slowly, but moving forward it is. With co-directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller working on Jonah Hill's 21 Jump Street so, to help them, another co-director has been hired: Chris McKay, the director of the Cartoon Network TV show "Robot Chicken."

Warners has also hired Happy Feet Two production company Animal Logic to handle the animation in the live-action/CGI hybrid. Casting for the film will start in January. The Lego movie, which still doesn't have a title and is keeping its storyline under wraps, will be released in 2014. The process started in 2008.

June 29, 2010: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs writer-directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller have been hired by Warner Brothers to do the same with the live action-animation hybrid Lego movie that's been in the works for more than a year. The due are currently working on the movie based on the old Fox TV show that launched Johnny Depp, 21 Jump Street.
