Meet the Robinsons

Reinventing Disney. Meet the Robinsons is about a young inventor seeing a futuristic family. It was good for the most part, but lacked some comedy. Most of the film was unexpected which puts it in the right place. Keep moving forward Disney, Meet the Robinsons is a step in the right direction. Ages 5+.

Wasn't Great

I liked it okay but it wasn't great. I didn't like it when the good people become zombies

Just Okay

I liked the ending. I just think the rest was okay. It wasn't what I expected... but it was okay.

PARENT REVIEW: Take Bathroom Break Early

The best piece of advice before seeing Meet the Robinsons: make sure your kids have all gone to the bathroom before it starts. The story is a bit convoluted and about the time of the explanation, children and their parents were leaving the theaters in droves to relieve themselves . . . missing the big reveal at the end.

Meet the Robinsons has some positive messages. Our hero is a 12-year-old orphan who was never adopted; it is children of that age who are still sitting in the system in our country. With any luck, Robinsons will create an awareness that these kids exist and need adopting, too. Robinsons also shows the origin of a villain and that our actions --however small -- have consequences on others. Robinsons beats you over the head with the overriding message of the film: failure is a good thing as long as you "keep moving forward" and use it as a step to getting it right. A message that apparently came from Walt Disney himself. Due to the difficult-to-follow storyline, I recommend for kids 5 and older.
