Something Borrowed

Something is Borrowed...elements from every other RomCom. Something Borrowed is about a woman who has an affair with her best friend's fiancee. The story is bad and acts like it's sooooo creative; I predicted how everything would unfold after brief character introductions. I personally hated each and every character and also felt that the lead seemed miscast as she looked and acted too young to convince me that she was 30. Other than that, Something Borrowed is okay in every other other aspect including acting (save for a dramatic moment where Kate Hudson couldn't keep a straight face). What's terrifying is that the book has sequels! Ages 14+

PARENT: Something Bad for Kids

SOMETHING BORROWED is about two lifelong best friends who are turning 30, one of whom is engaged to the other's best guy buddy from college. When the college friends realize they'd always had a thing for each other, they have to decide if love is as important as friendship and family obligation.

The characters do just about everything most parents hope their kids won't do: drink HEAVILY, hook up, curse, lie, back stab and dabble in drug use.

SOMETHING BORROWED is something I don't recommend for any age group that might be called "kids."
