Zookeeper is a hilarious movie that would please every family. Animals really do have feelings! This movie is about a zookeeper named Griffin, that all the animals at the zoo love. At the end, what he already has is all he needs.

ZOOKEEPER had a very talented animal cast. The animal cast starts off with Crystal, the beautiful Capuchin monkey, who did a talented role for Donald, voiced by Adam Sandler. Felix as Joe, owned and trained by Brian McMillan, has a huge reptation for his roles which made him extroadinary, Joe the lion is voiced by Sylvester Stallone. Well Bernie, was an animatronic suit preformed by Tom Woodruff Jr., who has created animatronics for films like Hollow Man, Old Dogs and many more, with his company Amalgamated Dynamics, including this one, Nick Nolte voices Bernie. The famous Bart the bear and his sister Honey Bump as Jerome and Bruce the two Kodiak bears, they're filling in their father's famous paws, the legendary Bart the I. Over all these animals are encridbly talented and trained. The animals are provided by Birds & Animals Unlimited.

I took both my daughters to see it yesterday. We laughed so hard I had trouble breathing!

ZOOKEEPER was the best movie I ever saw. It was really funny. In ZOOKEEPER, Griffin wants to marry this girl and she doesn't want to marry him because of his job. The animals tell him what to do to get the girl.

Monkeys throw poo. Wolves "mark" their territory. Lions are aloof. These are the mating rituals the zoo animals teach their caretaker Griffin (Kevin James) in an effort to help him land his dream girl in ZOOKEEPER. The question is: do these things offend you? If bathroom jokes are a no-no for your family, then stay away from ZOOKEEPER. However, ZOOKEEPER is a fun and well-intentioned harmless movie.

Most of the time, the mating techniques the animals teach Griffin don't translate to humans. But, the point where it DOES "work" is a little disturbing. One animal tells Griffin "insult her, then compliment her, then ignore her." Unfortunately, this is a real dating technique some men use. I implore you to use this a teaching moment with your 8 year old (?) that if someone insults and ignores you, don't hang out with them. I had this discussion with two girls after the movie who informed me that pulling hair and calling names is something "5 year olds do because they don't know about love but 10 year olds do know about love and don't act that way." Well, I tried.

ZOOKEEPER is a comedy but there are subtle messages that parkgoers taunt and endanger the animals by littering. More overt messages also exist that perhaps not all zookeepers are kind and loving. In fact, it's not funny at all when we're shown the moments preceding and following abuse. Other concerns to be aware of are two uses of the "hockey sticks" word and a cold physical threat issued by the protaganist.

In our screening, littler kids didn't find the romance stuff so entertaining, but they did enjoy Kevin James interacting with the animals. From the older elementary age kids, I heard peals of laughter throughout the movie. For 4th grade and older.
