The Way, Way Back is the directorial debut of the Oscar-winning writing team behind The Descendants Jim Rash (Dean Pelton on "Community") and Nat Faxon (Zookeeper). Rash and Faxon are both Groundlings, Los Angeles' famous improv and sketch comedy troupe. They have another film in the works starring fellow Groundling Kristin Wiig ("SNL").
