UPDATE: Joey King (Ramona and Beezus) will play Channing Tatum's daughter in White House Down. Tatum's character is a secret service agent who brings his daughter to work with him on the day that a paramilitary group takes over the White House...they take the girl as a hostage. Tatum's character tries to save his daughter, the president (Jamie Foxx from Valentine's Day) and the country. Maggie Gyllenhaal (The Dark Knight) and James Woods (Hercules) will play other secret service agents, Richard Jenkins (Dear John) will be the Speaker of the House.
(2012, The Day After Tomorrow, Independence Day) will helm from a script by James Vanderbilt (The Losers, The Amazing Spider-Man). Production is set to begin at the end of the summer. Tatum's production company Iron Horse Entertainment will executive produce the film.
