A-list actors, musicians and even a major movie producer are stepping outside of their comfort zones for the film Can a Song Save Your Life? First off Judd Apatow (Bridesmaids, Superbad) one of the top comedic directors of this generation, is making a musical drama. Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine, musicians and co-star judges on "The Voice," will act. Actors Keira Knightley (Pirates of the Caribbean), Mark Ruffalo (The Avengers), Hailee Steinfield (True Grit) and Catherine Keener (Where the Wild Things Are) will, assumably, sing. John Carney (Once) wrote and is directing the film about a dejected music exec who forms a friendship with a young singer-songwriter who just moved to New York.
Cee Lo Green plays Black in Sparkle and The Mummy in Sony Pictures Animation's Hotel Transylvania.
