ICE AGE 4 and SPIDER-MAN Slay the Oversea Box Office

Its starting to become standard that many big budget tentpoles are releasing internationally before they come to America. Case in point, The Amazing Spider-Man and Ice Age 4: Continental Drift have already been released in overseas territory. Ice Age 4 was released in 34 territories and made $78.1 million while The Amazing Spider-Man was released in 13 for $50.2 million, all strong starts. As budgets have ballooned over the last 20 years, the international market has proven a great way to recoup large amounts of money or simply able to pour gravy on an already ravishing success. The Oversea market has already surpassed the domestic box office in total revenue as the domestic ticket sales have slowly been falling over the last couple years.
