The Amazing Spider-Man conquered the six day Independence weekend holiday with a whopping $140 million, $65 million from the traditional Friday-Sunday frame. Meanwhile, the news wasn't as bright for Katy Perry: Part of Me, the concert/documentary only scraped together $10.2 million from its four day frame for a lowly eighth place.The two animated holdovers, Brave and Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, made $20.1 million for third and $7.7 million for seventh.
