UPDATE: Marla Gibbs, who maid her sassy maid character Florence Johnston in "The Jeffersons" an icon, will star opposite Jake T. Austin in Grantham and Rose. Austin commits a petty crime while trying to survive in New York City which leads him to meeting Rose who teaches him a thing or two about life and love and the two go on a roadtrip "back to their roots." Filming starts next week in Georgia.
July 31, 2012 - "Wizards of Waverly Place" star Jake T. Austin will star in the indie Grantham and Rose, which seems to be similar to the 1971 classic Harold and Maude. The 17 year old will play a young man struggling with becoming an adult in New York City. He meets an 81-year old African American woman who "teaches him about life and love" and the duo takes a roadtrip back to their roots.
