THE ODD LIFE OF TIMOTHY GREEN, Odeya Rush15-year old Israeli actress Odeya Rush describes her life as "odd", "crazy", as well as "wonderful". Starring as Joni Jerome in the Disney summer movie The Odd Life of Timothy Green, it's easy to see why.

Not only does she have two older brothers and two sets of younger twin brothers, but also, Odeya moved from Israel to America at the age of nine to pursue her dreams of acting. No wonder she also sums up her life as "hectic" and "outrageous".

"Because it was a smaller country and where I lived, everyone knew everyone, I was able to take the public bus to school in first grade," Odeya explained about her life in Israel. "For me, I feel much more protected in Israel."

THE ODD LIFE OF TIMOTHY GREEN, Odeya RushHer first impression of America reminded her of a Barbie-doll dream setting.

"I moved to Alabama first," she reflected. "I used to watch "Lizzie McGuire" when I was younger and that's what America looked like to me. I thought it was picturesque and perfect. People were so polite here and so sweet and nice."

Odeya was immediately set on the path of a rising star. Since then, she has landed many roles in acting and modeling as well, leading up to her film debut in the heartwarming The Odd Life of Timothy Green, which critics have been calling a "dramedy" – a mixture of drama and comedy.

"Everyone in the audience was crying. I heard people sniffling too," said Odeya.

THE ODD LIFE OF TIMOTHY GREEN, Odeya RushShe co-stars along with CJ Adams (Timothy Green), whom she describes as a little brother.

"When I came to the call-back, I met the director Peter Hedges and CJ," she said about acquiring the role of Joni. "I think it was because I had great chemistry with CJ and because I understood Joni on a different level."

In the whimsical movie, socks play a big deal in hiding a certain secret of Timothy Green. Joni and Timothy become friends when she discovers his secret and shows him a secret of her own. Odeya described her own sense of fashion, which includes socks that go past the knees.

"In the winter and the fall, I like to wear a cute blouse, a skirt, and long socks that are either striped or a cool red or blue," she said.

THE ODD LIFE OF TIMOTHY GREEN, Odeya RushOdeya certainly rocked The Odd Life of Timothy Green's green carpet in her beautiful red dress. The premiere, which she figures is the most magical moment of her life, took place in front of the El Capitan Theater on August 6, 2012.

"First I came out, and I was so nervous and so excited. People were screaming my name and I didn't know where to look," she laughed.

THE ODD LIFE OF TIMOTHY GREEN, Odeya RushIt will be no surprise when Odeya grows accustomed to the flashing cameras and eager fans at movie premieres due to her bright future in upcoming roles. Keep your eyes open – she'll be starring as the title role in Mary, Mother of Christ along with Ben Kingsley and Peter O'Toole. But for now, you and your family can catch The Odd Life of Timothy Green, now sprouting in theaters!
