Balls of Fury really doesn't deliver the low-brow humor the name promises ...so as a parent, I was relieved. The inclusion of curse words appears to be for cred among the teen boy crowd the film is trying to target; the swear words are used less like an adjective and more as an exclamation point . . . and then it's the punchline. Sexual humor is present but like the best sex comedies, no one actually sees any action. While several of the characters imply they are gay and some come on to our hero, his refusals seem less homophobic and more of "it's just not for me." Is there such thing as a tolerant gay joke?

I'm not saying Balls of Fury is a ball of sunshine, but I am saying it's ridiculous. When a film is so over the top inane, kids get it. If your 12 year old likes jokes where characters get kicked in the crotch, then he'll love Balls of Fury. Ages 10+
