PlayStationers Peeked at ARMORED

Armored, the Matt Dillon starrer which just recently left theaters, popped up on the PlayStation Network last week. It was an internal mistake at Sony (who distributed the film for Screen Gems) and was only up for a few hours, but the window was long enough for pirates to nab the film and upload it to the internet. Some think Sony was going to release Armored on the PlayStation Network before the DVD was available, like it did with Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, but pulled the trigger too early by mistake.

X-MEN: DEADPOOL Moves Forward

Ryan Reynolds pulling double-duty on the superhero films is motivating 20th Century Fox to get moving on the Deadpool spinoff of the X-Men franchise. Zombieland writers and BFF's Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will take on the anti-hero story about the smart-aleck character Reynolds played in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Reynolds has been pumping iron to look amazing for his role as The Green Lantern filming this summer. If a script and crew is in place, Fox could then start shooting Deadpool to get Reynolds while he's in superhero shape.

Vince Vaughn Tackles Cheating with Ron Howard

2009 may have been the year of the cheater....Tiger Woods capping off a year filled with philandering politicians like Governor Sanford and Senator John Edwards. That may be why yesterday two films about cheating were greenlit. One is the Farrelly Brothers Hall Pass ("THREE STOOGES Wait for HALL PASS) and the other is a Universal-Imagine Entertainment pic. Ron Howard will direct and Vince Vaughn will star in the film about a guy who learns of his wife's infidelity and tries to figure out what to do with the information. 21 scribe Allan Loeb will write the script.

TWILIGHT's Kendrick to Star in Cancer Comedy

Twilight co-star Anna Kendrick, getting much award fawning for her performance in the rated R Up in the Air, has signed on to play opposite James McAvoy (Mr. Tummus in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe) and Seth Rogen (Monsters vs. Aliens) in a Mandate Pictures film being called a cancer dramatic comedy (yes, a cancer comedy?!). The project's working title is I'm with Cancer is about the true story of the screenwriter Will Reiser who has successfully staved off cancer since his 20s. McAvoy will play 25-year old cancer patient Adam and Kendrick will play a young psychologist who takes his case despite her lack of experience in the area. Rogen's role in the film has not been specified but he'll also take on the role of producer. All the Boys Love Mandy Lane director Jonathan Levine will helm.

THREE STOOGES wait for HALL PASS

Yes, the Farrelly Brothers got Sean Penn back as Larry in their The Three Stooges biopic, but with no actor in place to play Curly, Peter and Bobby Farrelly are moving forward with Hall Pass for New Line. Owen Wilson (Marley and Me) and Jason Sudeikis ("Saturday Night Live") will star as men whose marriages are in ruts and whose wives give them a "free pass" to take up with other women. The roles of the women are still open. Production starts in Atlanta on Feb. 23.
