PARENT REVIEW: 1 Big Genitals Joke

Mr. Woodcock is as inappropriate for kids as the name suggests. At it's core, the story is about overcoming the difficult people in your past and seeing bullies for what they are. However, the movie is one big sex and genitals joke.

Mr. Woodcock is a bullying gym coach that traumatizes his students. When Jeff discovers Mr. Woodcock is dating his mother, he unravels trying to break them up. And in doing that, we see Mr. Woodcock's backstory and why he's such a rigid man who gets pleasure in making other people feel insignificant. This understanding of bullies is always a good start for kids who will undoubtedly encounter bullies as they grow up.

The movie is so inappropriate for kids, however. Plus, a lot of the story is about the lead character's uncomfortableness with his mother's sexuality which is expressed in every way that will be uncomfortable to you seeing this movie with your child! For kids 14 and older.
