The story is a bit convoluted and about the time of the explanation, children and their parents were leaving the theaters in droves to relieve themselves . . . missing the big reveal at the end.

Meet the Robinsons has some positive messages. Our hero is a 12-year-old orphan who was never adopted; it is children of that age who are still sitting in the system in our country. With any luck, Robinsons will create an awareness that these kids exist and need adopting, too. Robinsons also shows the origin of a villain and that our actions --however small -- have consequences on others. Robinsons beats you over the head with the overriding message of the film: failure is a good thing as long as you "keep moving forward" and use it as a step to getting it right. A message that apparently came from Walt Disney himself. Due to the difficult-to-follow storyline, I recommend for kids 5 and older.
