It has some parts that REALLY made me want to cover my eyes too. It has ALOT of violence and some REALLY inappropriate parts that made me cover my mouth, Which is sad because I know ALOT of people at my school want to see it. Besides the bad parts it has some really funny parts and I think, if you can handle everything I've mentioned then you could end up liking it. That said, there's plenty to justify it's PG-13 rating. Curse words (mainly the "S" word but one "F"-bomb at the end), children violently fighting, sexually inappropriate humor (including the dad being very Joe Simpson to his daughter's physical attributes and the lead actress aggressively trying to seduce her boyfriend) certainly make the film not a good choice for the elementary-age crowd. What's too bad is that younger kids probably will want to want to see VAMPIRES SUCK...the filmmakers recognize this, casting David DeLuise (the dad from Disney Channel's "Wizards of Waverly Place") and the pop culture references they always skewer include all the TV shows tweens and teens watch (including "iCarly").
