The role is the third lead in the film behind Pine (Unstoppable) and Banks (The Next Three Days, Imagine That). The story is about a guy (Pine) who discovers at his father's funeral that he has an older sister (Banks) and young nephew he never knew about when he's directed to deliver them $100,000 -- something he'd rather not do. It seems DreamWorks hasn't found just the right boy for a role in the Chris Pine-starrer Welcome to People. Director Alex Kurtzman (part of the Kurtzman-Roberto Orci writing team behind Star Trek and the Transformers movies) is holding an open casting call in Los Angeles on Saturday to find a 12-year old boy who is "athletic, independent and confident." Assumably, the boy has to look somewhat like he could be the child of Elizabeth Banks since she'll play his mother.
