In the case of the movie (the storyline is being kept top secret), Wahlberg and producer Scott Stuber (who makes a lot of PG-13 romantic comedies like The Break-Up, You Me and Dupree, Love Happens, Couples Retreat, etc.) have made a deal with Universal to make the movie Bait and Switch with Wahlberg producing and POSSIBLY starring, but that's not a definite. If he passed on taking the role, undoubtedly a big reason why Universal would want to make the movie, the actor-producer would have pulled a, yes, Bait and Switch. Source: Variety |
Mark Wahlberg may be pulling a bait and switch on Universal with the action comedy Bait and Switch. "Bait and Switch" is an illegal advertising technique where an item that is advertised at a low price is meant to lure a customer in the door but when the customer gets there, that item is no longer available and the salespeople then try to get them to buy something else.
